Stocked Parts
Most houses in Smithville went up around 1996, which puts them squarely in the era of steel sectional doors running on roller-and-track systems with extension springs mounted above the horizontal track rather than torsion bars over the opening. That's the standard setup a builder would have installed on a mid-1990s spec home, and it's what we expect to find when a call comes in from this side of the service area. The truck carries the roller and bracket hardware sized for that generation of door: nylon and steel rollers in the common stem lengths, galvanized track sections, and the flag brackets and hinges that bolt a door of this age to the jamb. What we don't carry as a stock item is track hardware for anything built before the 1950s stock you'll find closer to Kansas City proper - different bracket spacing, different gauge. For a town where the housing is this consistent in age, that's rarely a problem; it just means we come loaded for the right decade before we leave the shop.dY:
